Holly Duffy

California, California - Marriage And Family Therapist
Online

I help people focus on their specific goals and make life changes while dealing with any emotional, traumatic, behavioral, social and/or relational issues. My approach is warm, connected, and artistic, yet honest and serious when and if needed. The way I practice therapy is by seeing each individual as unique and curtailing their counseling for their specific needs and desired outcomes. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is evidence based, is taking grounded concrete action in one's thinking, behavior, emotions, habits, and/or hobbies has been a focus of my training and experience. I combine this with creative or expressive therapies if they are helpful for the person in growing their self esteem and for positive relationships. I also find simple talk therapy alone or in combination with creative therapies, if that is what a person prefers, to be just as effective depending on the overall needs of the person, situation, and goals. It is my hope that more people can be increasingly content, satisfied and motivated with their lives as they continuously learn, grow, and change. And I find it very rewarding to be of some assistance to help guide people to accomplish their life and daily goals, even if it's just to help them see it as a neutral observer or to vent in order to realize what they can change. With ideas and action people can likely begin to see the changes in thought patterns necessary to live a positive fulfilling life. Please feel free to contact me to discuss how sessions work and how to get started. Thank you, Holly Duffy, LMFT
