Learn MoreAbout Me
Lehuanani “Nani” Perez is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) based in southern California. She has been practicing for seven years and specializes in working with neurodivergent women through her practice, Neuroprism Counseling.
Personal Experience With ADHD
Nani Perez has personal experience being diagnosed “late” and in turn feels inspired to help bring awareness to women with ADHD who feel like they are not seen or heard. She strives to be a listening ear that can support you throughout sessions and to meet you where you are.
Therapeutic Approaches
Nani Perez begins new clients with information building where she works to cultivate a trusting relationship and get to know you on an individual level. She utilizes a mixture of the person centered approach, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), neurodivergent affirming practice and internal family systems.
Nani Perez finds that ACT has been especially helpful for people with ADHD to help tackle difficult emotions in a healthy way and practice flexible thinking. She also practices feminist therapy to address the societal expectations often placed on women seeking mental health care and help reframe the pressures women face.
