About Me

Thank you for stopping by! My name is Muang (Moo‑wong), and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I began working as a remote therapist in November of 2022. Prior to providing remote therapy, I worked for 9 years as a medical social worker in hospitals (emergency departments, acute adult medicine, inpatient psychiatric care, and Palliative Care), spent some time working as an outpatient therapist in a primary care setting, worked at an outpatient dialysis center, and also worked at a prison.

I strive to offer a supportive environment where you can fully express yourself, gain insight, and take steps toward personal growth. I work from an attachment perspective, but use therapeutic approaches such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) to help you better cope with the human condition. These approaches will help empower you to better manage your emotions, thoughts, and behavioral responses.

I work with a wide variety of adults, ranging from those who are reflecting on how intergenerational/complex family systems have impacted their attachment behaviors, those wanting to reduce symptoms of anxiety/depression, those going through life transitions, those afflicted by chronic and acute medical diagnoses, those getting by after grief/loss, and those seeking support to improve their self-esteem/self-worth. Whether you’re working through trauma, building coping skills, or exploring your personal goals, I’ll work with you to create a plan for growth that feels empowering and achievable. I prioritize honest, clear, and open communication in order to provide a safe space for you to process and work to achieve your emotional, spiritual, and cognitive goals.

I believe that therapy is a partnership. Together, we’ll identify and set goals that matter to you, whether they focus on improving relationships, building self-esteem, or another personal objective. As we work together, your goals may evolve as you gain new insights. We can adapt our plan at any time to ensure it’s always meaningful and relevant to you.
