With two decades of experience as a counselor/therapist, I have helped military (active duty and veterans), first responders, pastors’ wives, college students, medical professionals, corporate executives, entrepreneurs, women returning to the workforce, people of all ages, and life experiences to gain balance, restoration, healing, and resolutions for myriad mental health issues.
I offer secular or faith-based therapy, depending entirely on the client’s preference. As a mature, seasoned Christian, I can help you experience God’s wisdom, power, and love in a non-judgmental approach as you heal, grow, and master your life. If you are struggling with substance use issues, I can help you navigate the situations, emotions, and relationships in your life that are complicated and impacted by substance use and help you find your best self as you progress through the stages of your recovery.
Areas of counseling experience include substance use, anxiety, secondary traumatic stress, PTSD, narcissistic relationships, family relationships, shame, low self-esteem, grief and loss, couples counseling, sexuality, trauma from childhood or adult sexual molestation, abuse, rape, effects of pornography on individuals and/or partners, and re-entry after incarceration. I am licensed in Michigan and Arizona as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have a B.S. in secondary education (grades 5-12 endorsement) and an M.A. in Counseling. I am a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor in Michigan. I am experienced with married and non-married couples/partners.
