About Me

I am a licensed professional counselor with a PhD in psychology and more than 20 years of experience in outpatient therapy. My clinical background includes working with individuals facing a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, life transitions, career challenges, grief, academic difficulties, and phobias. I have extensive experience supporting clients with obsessive-compulsive disorder, anger management issues, relationship concerns, body image challenges, and self-esteem issues. My work has also included assisting individuals coping with emotional stress, aging-related concerns, and significant health conditions. I have provided services to LGBTQIA+ clients, including adolescents and adults who are transitioning, as well as teens, adults, older adults, and individuals from both affluent and economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
My therapeutic approach is eclectic and grounded, drawing from multiple evidence-based modalities to meet each person’s unique needs. I strongly believe in the value of therapeutic work outside the session. Clients can expect to engage in targeted exercises between sessions that support the goals we establish together. Treatment is collaborative, interactive, and tailored to each individual’s circumstances.

I strive to create a respectful, nonjudgmental, and empowering environment where clients feel safe, accepted, and supported. I view counseling as a collaborative process that can serve as either a short-term resource or a long-term support, depending on personal needs. Taking the step to begin counseling is an important move toward greater self-awareness, and I recognize the courage it takes to face complex challenges. I am here to help whenever you are ready to talk.
