Learn MoreAbout Me
Hi, I’m Alicia Fowler, LMSW-C, founder of Therapy By Alicia and Hope Together Health & Wellness. I’m a neurodivergent-affirming therapist, being neurodivergent myself, and I specialize in helping adults heal from trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD, relationship trauma, and painful family patterns—especially those shaped by narcissistic, controlling, or emotionally neglectful environments. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling misunderstood, overextended, or unsure how to break free from old dynamics that keep them stuck. I also help over-functioning caregivers learn how to draw boundaries, focus on their health and needs, and defuse from an identity built around helping others while erasing themselves.
You may find yourself overthinking, people-pleasing, or replaying childhood wounds in adult relationships. My role is to help you explore those patterns with compassion—not judgment—and begin building a more secure and empowered connection with yourself and others.
My integrative approach draws primarily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Schema Therapy, with additional tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Together, we’ll use evidence-based strategies to strengthen emotional regulation, rebuild trust in your own inner voice, and create new patterns that reflect your values—not your fears.
In our work, you’ll find a grounded, nonjudgmental space to process both past and present pain while learning to release control, practice self-compassion, and cultivate healthier relationships. Healing isn’t about becoming someone new; it’s about remembering who you were before you learned to hide.
If you’re ready to move from survival to authentic connection and peace, I’d be honored to walk beside you on that journey.
