About Me

I work with kindness, compassion, empathy, and will walk alongside you in your journey on a path to reclaiming happiness and your authentic self. I will help you to feel empowered in accepting and managing your emotions, thoughts, and spiritual life. I have over 30 years of experience working in diverse methods and aspects of counseling and therapy. I have worked with depression, anxiety, trauma, sexual abuse, spiritual abuse, religious deconstruction, relationships, and more. I have been an active ally in the realm of LGBTQ and systemic racist issues and am dedicated to promoting the healing and resolution of the challenges related to bullying, isolation, and trauma. I utilize a variety of methods including mindfulness, meditation, art, humor, and more. I prefer to use the phrase “emotional and mental challenges” versus “mental illness” which tends to stigmatize and place people in boxes. All human beings experience some of those challenges to different degrees. I am holistic in my outlook on life and practice meditation and mindfulness myself in order to stay centered and focused.
I enjoy reading, going for long walks, spending time with family, the ocean, and my cat. I look forward to walking with you on your path.
