Sarah Lowe Verified Provider

Sarah Lowe is a licensed professional counselor with The Trauma Academy NW based in Salem, Oregon. The Trauma Academy offers both in person and telehealth therapy. It’s preferred that she meets clients in person for the first intake session. She currently has openings on Fridays.

The Trauma Academy accepts Pacific Source Community Solutions and Oregon Health Plan Open Card. Self pay options can be discussed on a case by case basis. 

Empathetic Mental Health Care for Teens and Adults

Ms. Lowe’s first career was in teaching, allowing her to develop a strong empathy for students who are experiencing mental health challenges. She provides supportive and nonjudgmental counseling to adolescents ages 15 and up and adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma and difficulty adjusting to life transitions. 

Personalized CBT, ACT and MBCT

Ms. Lowe and her team take a compassionate approach to therapy, using active listening skills to form personalized treatment plans with realistic goals. She uses acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness based cognitive therapy (MBCT) to help clients accept and alter their thinking and behavior. She also pulls from humanistic concepts, gestalt and strength based therapies tailored to meet unique needs.
