Kerri-Ann Wilson-Jones, MA, LPC, has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work (Special) from the University of the West Indies in Jamaica and a Masters of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from the Graduate School of Theology in Jamaica.
Mrs. Wilson-Jones has an extensive background in social work and counseling and has approximately ten years of combined experience, having worked as a Mental Health Therapist, an Outpatient Therapist, and a Licensed Professional Counselor. Mrs. Wilson-Jones has an excellent work ethic, an eye for detail, and a strong desire to succeed, which are all reflected in her work with clients.
Mrs. Wilson-Jones’ therapeutic approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) strategies and includes the use of mindfulness and relaxation techniques, with an emphasis on self-care. Mrs. Wilson-Jones is a passionate, proactive, and motivated Counselor with a desire to improve mental health functioning in clients who present with trauma, anxiety, and depression. She believes that empathy and genuine concern are critical in developing a therapeutic relationship of trust with her clients.
