Hello! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia with 17 years of experience. My career began in mental health hospitals, where I worked with children and young adults facing severe trauma. Later, I transitioned into a role as a Care Manager for managed care companies, and eventually, I founded My Caring Counseling, a private practice designed to provide a supportive and creative space where clients feel safe and heard on their journey to healing. My expertise primarily focuses on clients struggling with depression, anxiety, life stressors, major life transitions, the challenges of a midlife crisis, self-esteem, interpersonal conflicts, and couples therapy. I approach therapy through a person-centered lens, tailoring my methods to fit each client’s unique needs. I integrate various techniques, including solution-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, supportive therapy, and movement therapy. This holistic approach aims to enhance your cognitive, emotional, and physical well-being. My therapeutic style is warm, empathetic, and attentive, and I’m here to listen closely and help you find the path that works best for you. As a therapist from a diverse cultural background, I am deeply committed to offering inclusive care to individuals from all walks of life, including young adults, older adults, and couples. I have completed Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion training to ensure that my approach is respectful and responsive to the unique needs of every client. I believe in the power of self-healing and in your ability to create meaningful change in your life, and I’m excited to walk alongside you as you navigate this process. I'm honored to be part of your journey and look forward to supporting you as we work together toward your goals.

Ellenwood, Georgia - Licensed Professional Counselor

Hello everyone! I have worked in some aspect of healthcare since 1994. I started off as a Medical Assistant in the state of Maryland, then I moved here to GA; where I have been for the last 20 years. As a healthcare professional, I have worked in many specialties; adult, child, family, ob/gyn, neurology, urgent care, emergent care, dermatology, med/surgery and mother and baby. I have taught medical assisting as well as placed Medical Assistant students on their externship. I have worked for large hospitals such as Johns Hopkins University and Dekalb Medical Center. I have also taught in secondary education in career colleges and business schools. I have a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Georgia State University (2010) and a master's degree in Community Counseling (2013) from Argosy University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of GA. I have worked with veterans for several years as a crisis counselor. I started my career working with children/teens as a community counselor. I have a passion for helping one operate in their highest capacity in order to master the basic areas of life; work, family, social lives and purpose. I practice solution focused therapy on a regular basis. This means I am direct and "to the point" as it relates to identifying and working toward solving a situation. However, I will try other modalities if the situation requires another focus. I love helping people and believe help starts with getting one's mental state healthy 1st and that will trickle over to being healthy in all areas of life. I have the unique experience of not only being a teen parent; I had my 1st child at 15 and my 2nd child at 19; therefore, even though I am licensed; I have experienced hardships and life challenges at a very early age! Therefore, I can relate and identify to most people, regardless of their background or trials and tribulations. I am here to help you maximize life fulfillment by overcoming real and self imposed obstacles.
