About Me

Amanda Haworth, APRN, PMHNP-BC, CNM in Wichita, Kansas is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner offering integrative and functional psychiatric care for children, adolescents, adults and seniors. She treats mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, substance use and perinatal mental health concerns, with a particular focus on women’s issues across the lifespan.

Amanda approaches care by looking beyond symptoms to uncover the underlying factors driving mental health challenges, including nutrition, lifestyle and physiological contributors.

Integrative and Root-Cause Psychiatric Care

Amanda employs integrative and functional psychiatry, drawing on her postgraduate PMHNP certification from Washburn University and advanced training through Psychiatry Redefined. Rather than defaulting to medication alone, she evaluates a broad range of factors including lab results, diet tracking, supplements and lifestyle to build a complete picture of each client’s health.

Treatment plans are highly individualized and developed through shared decision-making, incorporating education, integrative therapies and traditional medications as appropriate. This whole-person model helps address the root causes of conditions like anxiety, depression, ADHD and PTSD rather than simply managing surface-level symptoms.

Perinatal Mental Health and Women’s Wellness

Amanda brings a rare dual background as a Certified Nurse Midwife and PMHNP to her perinatal mental health work supporting clients through pregnancy, the prenatal period, and postpartum recovery. She is also a certified Prenatal Yoga instructor and has completed specialized training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders through.
