About Me

Victoria Chenevert is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, practicing at Stories Told Counseling in Providence, Rhode Island. While she acknowledges that psychotherapy can be intense, Victoria believes that you are the expert in your own self and all of your feelings, convictions, and thoughts make sense when viewed in their proper context.

Together, she’ll partner with you to celebrate successes and address areas for improvement. Victoria serves adults, couples and groups.

Finding Strength in an Unfair World

Through Victoria’s specialty in cultural and systemic oppression, she can help you recognize how unfair messages and rules in the world play into the way you feel about yourself. She’ll talk with you about these feelings and help you understand them so that they don’t control you.

She can also teach you strategies for handling difficult situations and feel stronger even when things are unjust. With Victoria’s support, you can start believing in yourself and finding your own way through tricky problems.

Healing After Abandonment

When you’re abandoned, you may feel like a piece of your heart is missing. It’s normal to feel hurt, scared, and angry. Maybe you don’t know who to trust anymore. Victoria can help you sit with these emotions and understand why they affect you so deeply.

She’ll help you build ways to start to feel safe again, and over time, you’ll learn to fill those empty spaces with self-compassion and confidence. You can trust yourself and others again.
