About Me

Hello and Blessings to you! Thank you for embarking on this journey of healing, transformation and happiness!
At this time in your life you are ready to make great changes and to have identified a problematic issue/issues that are holding you back from being complete. It is extremely hard to make the decision to seek assistance to make changes that will move you toward the person you want to be. My name is Casey, and it is an honor to be considered as a potential partner on your journey.
I am an Arkansas-based, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with 10 years’ experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, adults and older adults including couples and partners as well as their families. I have worked in many settings. For 24 years I worked in the field of Children and Family Services. I then went back to school at age 50 and achieved 2 masters degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy. I was Blessed with completing my education and licensing and now have my LPC. My experience includes individual and group therapy in residential and outpatient settings, Acute and Long Term Hospital settings for children, youth and adults and community mental health center services with adults and youth. I would describe my approach to therapy as eclectic, drawing on a variety of modalities to best serve a client’s needs and goals. The modalities that have proven most useful are: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-based Therapy, Existential Therapy, Experiential Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I also have a strong belief in the healing power of Nature and use of holistic practices.
Frequently, there is no “mental health” issue. An individual may just need skills to move through a “life transition,” clarify life goals, and prioritize steps for reaching those goals. I myself have been through MANY life transitions and know that it can be very hard to get to a starting place and ask for help. But I am here to be your partner, cheerleader, and coach. I believe man is not to live on an island alone in order to deal with issues of THIS world and this time.
Finally, I view the therapeutic alliance as a partnership requiring mutual trust, respect, honesty, communication, and commitment to do the work. Hopefully, what I have shared here will help you select the best fit for a therapist. Should you select me, I look forward to our journey together.
