Bethaney Long

Kentucky, Kentucky - Clinical Social Worker/therapist
Online

Hello, and welcome. My name is Bethaney, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 20 years of experience in the helping profession and 7 years of clinical experience. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship challenges, life transitions, stress management concerns, self-esteem issues, and family conflict. I have extensive experience working with children and teens who are struggling with anxiety, emotional regulation, behavioral concerns, school-related stress, self-esteem challenges, and family transitions. I also work with adults navigating depression, anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties, parenting stress, trauma, and major life changes. Additionally, I have experience supporting families involved with child welfare services, co-parenting concerns, and family relationship challenges. I believe therapy should be a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes. My approach is person-centered and collaborative, drawing from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma-Focused interventions, and strengths-based approaches tailored to each individual's needs. I understand that reaching out for help can be difficult, and I strive to create an environment where clients feel comfortable discussing their concerns at their own pace. Whether you are facing a specific challenge or simply feeling overwhelmed by life's demands, I am committed to helping you identify your strengths, develop healthy coping strategies, and work toward your personal goals. I especially enjoy helping clients build confidence, improve coping skills, strengthen relationships, process difficult experiences, and develop practical tools they can use in their daily lives. My goal is to meet you where you are, provide compassionate support, and help you move toward lasting growth and positive change. I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward healing, growth, and improved well-being.
