Alexandrea Turner

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with a masters in counseling. While I enjoy working with teenagers the most, I serve a broad range of clients of all ages and circumstances. Anxiety, Self-harm, Suicidal Thoughts, Depression, and Trauma are all areas in which I have 8 years of experience.

I believe that the client is the expert in themselves, and every client wants to improve their mental health. A large part of my job is to help the client figure out the best way to do that using my expertise and experience. To further deepen the therapeutic journey, I often employ EMDR therapy or art/sand therapy techniques.

I strive to create a calming and safe environment in which clients can be honest with me and themselves about their mental health struggles. The therapeutic journey can be tough, but I have found those who struggle with mental health often have a great sense of humor which I encourage in session when appropriate. I want my clients to leave session feeling validated, empowered, and challenged.
