Nirala Bard ACS, BC-TMH, LCADC, LPC Verified Provider

Nirala Bard is a licensed professional counselor and a licensed clinical alcohol and drug counselor based in Jersey City, New Jersey. She provides telehealth sessions through Bard Behavioral Health and is currently accepting new patients. Former and current clients commend Nirala for being supportive and compassionate. One client describes her as a “good balance between being actionable and active listening.” 

Nirala accepts self pay methods and insurance from Aetna, Horizon Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Optum, Oxford and UnitedHealthcare. 

A Variety of Experience

In her three decades of experience, Nirala has worked in many various mental health settings,  shaping her into the therapist she is today. She has worked with adults, couples and families in emergency rooms, detox clinics and inpatient and outpatient settings. Nirala has also advocated for children, young adults and families in crisis with the Superior Courts of New Jersey. 

Developing Treatment Plans 

In her approach, she uses a mixture of acceptance and commitment (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and narrative therapy to treat mental health challenges like substance abuse, anxiety, depression, trauma and more.  She will work closely with you to develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs, helping you enhance your coping skills and improve your overall well being.
