Learn MoreAbout Me
My name is Nicole Nonclerc, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Master’s Level Certified Addictions Professional (MCAP), and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) in Florida with 10+ years’ experience in mental health and addiction treatment. I have worked with clients of all ages, from early childhood through elderly adults, and am comfortable treating a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and personality disorders. I have also helped clients who need assistance navigating difficult systems of care such as drug court, DCF agencies, and foster care. I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at Florida State University, and my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University. I recently completed my PhD in Criminal Justice at Nova Southeastern University, as well.
My counseling style tends to be solution-focused and interactive. I believe that, although a therapist does bring skills and techniques to the sessions, clients are still the experts of their own lives and solutions should fit within the client’s unique lifestyle, values, and views. My approach combines multiple therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral, motivational enhancement, and humanistic approaches in order to create a unique plan of action for each client.
I recognize that making the decision to pursue counseling as a method of making positive changes in your life is daunting, but if you are ready to improve your life, even if you’re not sure where to begin, then I am happy to support and encourage you along this journey!
Please note, due to conflicts of interest, I will not treat anyone who is living in, has a civil or legal case in, or is associated in any way with Hillsborough County, Florida.
