I am patient, kind, and will use all of my knowledge and experience in helping you overcome your stress and your troubles without judgement. I have more than 15 years of direct practice experience and I have learned that everyone’s unique life experiences call for an individualized plan.
I approach therapy as a collaborative process where I will always keep in mind both your short and your long term goals while using a mix of treatment modalities (motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and solution-focused counseling) depending on your unique needs.
In a session with me, you should expect honesty, empathy, compassion, and my full attention. I will be a positive and consistent person in your space and we will move at your pace. My role is to empower you, support you, treat you with respect, and help you with what you need – in order to live a healthier, happier, and more fulfilling life. This is your treatment and I am here to help!
As for my background and experience.. since attaining my Bachelors in Psychology and my Masters in Social Work from Rutgers University, I have worked in the mental health field conducting home visits, running groups, and working as an outpatient clinician. The variety of settings (school, community, outpatient, group-home, clinic, telehealth) and the diversity of people that I have counseled over the years, from children to the elderly, is what has helped me become a well rounded clinician and person.
