Life can throw unexpected challenges our way, especially in our closest relationships. When problems arise, I'm here to help you explore those moments with compassion and understanding. Through a strengths-based systemic approach to therapy, we'll explore all aspects of your life that might be contributing to the issue at hand, and work towards finding practical solutions that resonate with you. I firmly believe that problems don't exist in isolation. That's why I take a holistic approach, considering how various factors in your life might be influencing the challenges you're facing. In our sessions, you'll find a safe, non-judgmental environment where you can freely express yourself and discover your own strengths and resilience. My passion lies in empowering individuals to become the best version of themselves. I see each person as the expert of their own life, and my role is to walk alongside you on your journey toward growth and self-discovery. Together, we'll build a trusting relationship grounded in respect and empathy, and I'll provide you with the tools you need to move forward with confidence. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Colorado State University before relocating to Texas in 2012 to pursue my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University. Over the years, I've gained experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings, addressing a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, life transitions, and self-esteem. I have always loved northern Colorado and missed living there so in 2023, I moved back to Colorado with my husband. I'm excited to embark on this journey with you and to support you in building meaningful, healthy relationships and finding significance in your unique experiences. If you're ready to take the next step towards positive change, I'm here to help.

Leslie Grove

Grapevine, Texas - Licensed Professional Counselor
Online

Great to meet you! Hi, I’m Leslie, and I’m passionate about helping children, teens, and women feel seen, supported, and empowered. Life can feel overwhelming at times — whether it’s a child struggling to manage big emotions, a teen dealing with self-esteem or friendship challenges, or a woman trying to balance everything on her plate. My goal is to create a safe, understanding space where you or your child can explore those feelings and begin to find calm and confidence again. Clients often describe me as warm, down-to-earth, and easy to talk to. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a genuine, caring partnership where we work together to understand what’s going on and how to move forward in a way that feels right for you. My approach is gentle, supportive, and always tailored to the person sitting in front of me. With children, I often use play and creative activities to help them express what they might not have words for yet. With teens, I focus on building trust and helping them feel heard while we work on tools for managing stress, anxiety, or self-doubt. For women, I provide a space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with their sense of self and strength. I draw from approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and strengths-based techniques — but more than anything, I focus on connection. I want every client to feel safe, valued, and understood as we work toward growth and healing together. What you can expect from me: The first session is really about getting to know each other. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out — I’ll ask some questions about what’s been going on and what brought you (or your child) to therapy, but mostly, I want to understand your story. For kids and teens, I focus on helping them feel comfortable — we might talk, draw, or use activities to get to know each other. For adults, it’s a relaxed conversation where we explore what’s been challenging and what you’re hoping to change or understand better. By the end of our time together, we’ll have a clearer idea of what therapy could look like and how I can best support you moving forward.
