About Me

Kathryn Grimsley-Trivett is a licensed clinical social worker and therapist with The Healing Room Counseling in Concord, North Carolina. She sees children, preteens, teens, adults and seniors, along with couples and families. She offers sessions online or in a cozy office setting.

She uses Grow Therapy as her billing platform and scheduler. Potential clients know immediately after entering billing information, through a secure client portal, whether or not their insurance plan is accepted. A sliding fee scale is possible for qualifying uninsured individuals.

12 Years of Holistic Mental Health Care Expertise

Kathryn has been in practice for 12 years. In addition to her social work degrees, she’s a certified Reiki practitioner and life coach. She treats autism, eating disorders, codependency, trauma, depression, self esteem issues, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), mood disorders, personality disorders, anxiety, physical complaints and challenging life transitions.

Trauma Informed DBT and MBCT

Along with Reiki, she uses EMDR for clients desiring to overcome triggers and heal from trauma. She also uses mindfulness based cognitive therapy (MBCT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and motivational interviewing. She assesses each client’s concerns, history and goals to develop the most effective treatment plan to meet their unique needs.
