About Me

Taylor Holder, LCSW-CGS
Certified Grief Specialist | Male Therapist | Specialized Individual Therapy

Specialized Support
I am a seasoned, compassionate male therapist offering specialized individual therapy for grief, including the loss of a child, terminal illness, caregivers, business owners, professionals under pressure, leaders, frontline workers, helping professionals, single fathers, single parenting stress, burnout, compassion fatigue, major life transitions, aging-related concerns, stigma, rejection, spiritual harm, and people carrying the emotional weight of responsibility for others in need of care and support.
I work well with clients who are carrying stress in both their personal and professional lives, including those navigating workplace pressure, leadership burdens, business partner stress, professional overwhelm, caregiving strain, grief, and the challenge of trying to keep going while supporting others.

Affirming and Inclusive Care
I provide affirming, respectful care for people from all walks of life, including LGBTQI+ clients, people living with HIV/AIDS, intersex clients, marginalized communities, and people who have felt unseen, misunderstood, judged, boxed in, or harmed by stigma. My goal is to offer care without shame, judgment, or rejection.
With more than 40 years of advocacy, education, public speaking, seminars, field research, and published work related to LGBTQI+ and intersex communities, I bring both clinical experience and lived commitment to dignity, respect, and nonjudgmental care. I also offer specialized support for intersex clients and for parents of infants or children navigating medical care, social pressures, stigma, and advocacy needs.

Faith, Spirituality, and Best Fit
My best-fit clients are those who are open to therapy that may include faith, spirituality, hope, meaning, purpose, values, or holistic mind-body-spirit support. When explicitly requested by the client, I can ethically integrate Biblical principles and Christian values into therapy while honoring professional Codes of Ethics and the client’s own beliefs, values, and goals.

Why I Do This Work
I’m dedicated to helping people build a meaningful life, even in dark seasons. Grief has touched my own family through the loss of my youngest daughter, so when I work with grieving parents, I do so not only as a Certified Grief Specialist, but also as a parent who understands the life-changing heartbreak of losing a child. That shared lived experience deepens the care, respect, and steadiness I bring to parents and families walking through profound loss. There is no set timeline for grief, but there can be a path forward. Together, we can work toward growing forward with support for mind, body, and spirit.

Approach and Therapy Format
Reaching out can feel hard, especially when you have been holding so much for so long. Depending on your needs, our individual therapy work may include CBT, motivational interviewing, faith-based support, creative arts-based interventions, art-immersion methods, grief-informed care, and holistic mind-body-spirit support. I tailor the work to your goals, and we will discuss what feels appropriate together.
If you are looking for compassionate support that honors your lived experience while helping you grow forward, I would be honored to walk this journey with you.
