Learn MoreAbout Me
My name is Sherry Jones-Williamson. I am located in North Carolina and have been practicing over 30 years. I received my degree from East Carolina University. Most of my experience has been in the inpatient psychiatric setting, specializing in working with the Geriatric population.
My passion has been meeting clients where they are and providing them a supportive, non-judgmental, open minded space to work towards their goals. I also have experience working with clients who suffer from depression , anxiety, schizophrenia and anger management issues.
It is my desire that every client be able to develop paths to improved life skills and functionality. I approach all cases from a person centered perspective and my favorite Treatment Modalities are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing In cognitive Behavioral Therapy I will assist you in identifying and practicing alternative strategies to lead to better management of symptoms. Motivational Interviewing is a client focused approach, wherein the therapist provides direct support to help the client explore and resolve reasons for ambivalence to change, which then permits working towards developing goals for desired change.
I am eager to establish a rapport with you and look forward to working with you on reaching goals, to enhance your quality of life.
